So what is BlackRay anyways?
BlackRay is an innovative, fully relational database system designed to offer performance features commonly associated with search engines. It offers SQL support, JDBC and ODBC driver options, as well as sophisticated operational and management features.
How is it licensed
The entire package is available as free and open source software under the GPLv2. For more information, see the license page
Cool, so how do I get it?
Our current release is 0.10 and source as well as binaries can be downloaded from SourceForge. The latest Source code can be found in our Subversion repository.
How can I get involved?
BlackRay is an active Open Source Project and requires contributions from you as well. Check our how to contribute page to learn more. In General, we are always looking for
- C++ Developers (preferably with some experience)
- Porters and package maintainers
- Promoters/Distributors as well as Evangelists
