BlackRay is an active Open Source Project and requires contributions from you as well. In General, we are always looking for
- C++ Developers (preferably with some experience)
- Porters and package maintainers
- Promoters/Distributors as well as Evangelists
C++ Developers
Currently we are looking for one or two part-time volunteers to assist in the development of several new features on our roadmap. A good candidate will possess the following skills:
- C++ experience, especially with the boost libraries
- Good english or german language skills
- Ability to spend at least a few hours per week on the project
Will I get compensation?
Currently we cannot offer monetary compensation. We do however invite all developers to our annual developer meeting in Europe where we pay all expenses except airfare.
Contributor Agreement Requirement
The BlackRay project is hosted by SoftMethod and available under the GPL. In order to contribute in an orderly fashion we require a contributor agreement (PDF / OpenOffice Document) to be executed. The agreement we use is the common agreement also found in MySQL and similar GPL projects.
