Logo Guidelines

‘BlackRay’ and the BlackRay logo are trademarks of SoftMethod GmbH. In order to protect and grow the BlackRay brand, we have a distinguishable logo that can be used to mark genuine BlackRay resources and approved third-party content. There are guidelines for the logo’s appearance and usage, outlined here.

Non-Commercial Usage

We have a pretty broad definiton of “non-commercial usage”. We consider the logo usage to be non-commercial, as long as you do not use it in conjunction with a product that satisfies both:

  1. you charge others money for
  2. is built with, or on top of, the BlackRay Data Engine.

Commercial Usage

If you are using the logo in a commercial fashion (in conjunction with a product you sell for commercially), we ask you to sign a logo usage agreement, which can be found here.
